Albanian VAT & local taxes; Albanian regular annual road taxes; annual Check; vehicle property tax; obligatory Third-Party Liability vehicle insurance (TPL), Vehicle insurance (CDW & TP: Collision Damage Waiver & Theft Protection by request) with an excess of between 700 Euro and 3500 Euros; Unlimited Kilometres inland Albania or under 30 days rentals, Airport Surcharge/Fees, Snow chains, winter tyres – ARE INCLUDED in the rental FEE.
Fees for toll roads, bridges, tunnels, inland/abroad; International Motor Insurance – Green Card (covers the Lessee’s liability for damages to other vehicles in the event of collision abroad); Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) for inland/ /abroad; taxes by states (other than Albania); ferry fees; border/customs fees; parking charges/fines; speeding fines; fines on the driver/on the vehicle inland or abroad during the rental period; – ARE NOT INCLUDED in the rental FEE.
The minimum age to rent a vehicle next to Albarent is 21 to a maximum 75 years. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as well. The principal driver & any additional drivers will need to provide a full valid driving licence in their name. An international driving licence/permit does not replace the requirement for a regular driving licence. If using an international driving licence/permit, a full driving licence in the principal driver’s name will still be mandatory in order to rent the vehicle.
Rules follow as well for different vehicle categories:
Driving eligibility for Fullsize vans, LUXURY and SUVs category – From 28 years old and 7 years of driving experience.
Young and unexperienced drivers are able to rent only mini/economy category vehicle for an additional fee of 4 Euro per day with vat included. (to be decided by the Albarent Team) Seniors drivers up to 75 years old are able to rent economy, premium, suv categories vehicle for an addtional fee of 4 euro per day with vat included. (to be decided by the Albarent Team)
When collecting the vehicle, the Lessee will be required to leave a deposit according to the vehicle category. The following payment forms are accepted at the start of the rental to cover the deposit: Bank Transfer or by Credit Card: Mastercard, Visa (Not pre-paid), American Express. Credit Cards must be in the Principal Lessee’s name or accompanying person. The Warranty Deposit is used to cover any extra dues charged to the Lessee caused by infringements of the Terms & Conditions and for cases of insurance exceptions list. Otherwise, is returned at the end of the rental within 2/3 weeks being blocked on the credit/debit card.
The rental warranty deposit value according the vehicle categories:
Customers whose travel plans include driving outside the country of rental (or crossing borders, or travelling to different islands within the same country) must advise us before they pick up the car rental. Restriction applies for certain countries and may require the customers to pay additional fees. Road assistance or car replacement outside of Albania is not available.
Reservations can be cancelled online free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the rental. Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of the start of the rental will be charged a fee equal to a 3-day rental. There will be no refund or additional charge for reservations less than 3 days in duration. Where the vehicle cannot be picked up due to insufficient documentation or failure to provide a valid credit card this will be treated as a cancellation made within 48 hours provided, we are advised at the pick-up time.
AMENDMENTS: Reservations can be amended free of charge before the start of the rental. There are no refunds for any unused days or hours if the vehicle is returned early on any rental.
NO SHOWS: A 100% cancellation fee will be charged if the Lessor is not notified of cancellation prior to the start of the rental. This includes where the vehicle cannot be picked up due to insufficient documentation; failure to provide sufficient funds to cover the deposit amount; and/or failure to collect the car at the specified time/date.
Albarent offers the possibility to different pick up or drop locations of the rented vehicles toward an additional fee upon agreement by the reservation team. If no insured third party fault identified the Lessor shall arrange for KASKO insurance application form under these terms: up to a maximum coverage of 90% for damages caused in accidents in all cases proved to be not related to driver’s faults; up to a maximum coverage of 70% for the first case where the driver’s careless driving (speeding, wrong-way drive; wrong & dangerous park; wrong car to car distance on traffic; wrong breaking in the road; rear-front hit on wall while Vehicle is equipped with rear-front park assist/sensors/camera, side-front-rear hits on sidewalks or walls or irremovable street barriers or hard objects, or caught texting/using mobile devices) is proven to be the cause; up to a maximum coverage of 80% of the Vehicle’s declared value for cases of theft (the Lessee must present the Vehicle key!); up to a maximum coverage of 70% of the Vehicle’s declared value for cases of total destruction of the Vehicle (cases when the repair cost is not justifiable compared to the Vehicle’s declared value or when the Insurer declares the Vehicle irreparable); up to a maximum coverage of 70% for the second case of the same driver/vehicle where the driver’s careless/irregular driving is proven; up to a maximum coverage of 60% for the third case of the same driver/vehicle where the driver’s careless/irregular driving is proven; in all cases the data of the vehicle’s Black Box/GPS may affect the final insurance case judgment/coverage%; Police Reports/fines/pictures/testimonials, are also considered proofs.
Deliver a substitute Vehicle in all cases only after the presentation of the Police Report (including vehicle’s documents) on the accident under these terms: free of charge substitute vehicle for all cases where KASKO/TPL coverage applies; extra charge second vehicle for all cases where KASKO/TPL coverage does not apply (if the Lessee needs the vehicle) – the rental fee of the damaged vehicle continues up to its rental term, after repair the vehicle is redelivered; any substitute/second vehicle is subject to provisions of this CRA including a new Warranty Deposit; if Lessor has no substitute vehicle available the Lessee is credited with the rental fee (30% taxes deducted); for all inquiries regarding Insurances the Lessor is the only in charge to respond.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is an optional product that reduces the renter’s liability in the event of damage of the vehicle when no responsible third party is identified. If CDW is not included in the reservation, it is available for purchase at the rental counter. CDW or Additional insurance does not provide any coverage concerning damages caused to the underneath part of the vehicle, interior part of the vehicle, wind shields, mirrors and tires. ALBARENT offers 24/7 roadside Assistance is free of charge within the territory of Albania as long as customer was not at fault or in breach of rental conditions. SUBSTITUTE VEHICLE: The Lessor delivers at no delivery charge a substitute Vehicle free of charge in the case of an own vehicle’s defect;
The Lessor delivers at no delivery charge a substitute Vehicle only after the presentation of the Police Report (including vehicle’s documents) on the accident under these terms: free of charge substitute vehicle for all cases where CDW&TP/TPL coverage applies; extra charge second vehicle for all cases where CDW&TP/TPL coverage does not apply (if the Lessee needs a second vehicle) – the rental fee of the damaged vehicle continues up to its rental term, after repair the vehicle is redelivered if enter the rental term; any substitute/second vehicle is subject of all provisions of this contract including a new Warranty Deposit for the substitute/second vehicle; The Lessor covers at his expense repairs of damages/failures that are not caused from misuse of the Lessee;
The vehicle should be returned with the same amount of fuel it was picked up with. Baby seat (only by request all types) extra daily fee: 5 Euro, Portable navigator extra daily fee: 10 Euro, Mobile phone with a rechargeable SIM card extra daily fee: 15 Euro.
NOTE OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT BY THE LESSEE : I AGREE That in cases of fines implied during my use of this vehicle but delivered to the Lessor after the RETURN/DROPP-OFF of this vehicle, I am responsible to cover these due fines enter à maximum of 15 Days time after receiving written notice from the Lessor. The Lessor can notice me for eventual fines until a maximum of 12 (twelve) months time after date of the termination of the rental period. The Lessee herewith certifies that he is informed from the Lessor according to the provisions of the Albanian Law Nr. 9887 Dt. 10.03.2008 “For the Protection of the Personal Data” and the Albanian Administrative Code that all his personal data will only be used for the purpose and provisions of this Car Rental Agreement (CRA), according to the Law and the Lessee fully agrees to this.
